Cape Henry Associates (CHA) announced today it is one of the first companies in Hampton Roads to successfully complete a certification audit by DEKRA Certification, Inc. to the newly revised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems International Standard. ISO 9001:2015 is the world’s most widely applied International Standard on quality management systems (QMS) and places increased importance on risk analysis and mitigation. It also helps organizations demonstrate to their customers that they place an emphasis on customer satisfaction and can consistently offer quality products and services. A certified and accredited QMS also acts as a tool to streamline an organization’s processes and make them more efficient at what they do.
“This was one of our big goals for 2016 and involved everyone in the company…It is a credit to every CHA employee’s dedication to customer service and the quality of our products and services,” said Bill Allen, CHA CEO and president.
Certification to the International Standard is based on quality management principles that include a strong customer focus, motivation and involvement by top management, the process approach, and continual improvement and review. The goal is to ensure customers receive consistently high quality products and services. Being certified to ISO 9001:2015 means our customers can have confidence that CHA is committed to quality and outstanding customer service. A U.S.- based accredited certification body, DEKRA visited CHA on-site in Virginia Beach to thoroughly assess its management system and, based on those results, certified CHA to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015. DEKRA will make regular on-site visits to confirm CHA continues to meet all the requirements of the International Standard.
