Cape Henry Associates’ director of quality management, Ed Myers, recently completed the requirements and has been named an ASQ-Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence by the Certification Board of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
To qualify and be named an ASQ-Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, or ASQ CMQ/OE, an individual must have 10 years of work experience related to the Body of Knowledge. They must demonstrate comprehension and leadership in quality management principles and practices.
“Earning an ASQ certification is more than a great accomplishment – it’s a formal recognition of professionals that they have demonstrated an understanding of, and a commitment to, quality practices in their field,” said ASQ Chair Cecilia Kimberlin. “This distinction represents an investment in one’s future and provides a competitive advantage to those who earn ASQ certifications.”
In addition to being quality management director at Cape Henry Associates (CHA), Ed is a senior member of ASQ, a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and a member of the Tidewater ASQ Senior Leadership Council. He has a master’s degree in organizational management from Cambridge College and a Bachelor of Science in interdenominational studies from Excelsior College, and is a United States Navy Service-Disabled Veteran.
