A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday, Feb. 7, for the latest Carrier-Advanced Reconfigurable Training System (C-ARTS) to be delivered to Naval Station Norfolk. The new system will provide training and support to Sailors stationed on the USS Gerald R. Ford. Incorporating innovative training technology such as virtual reality and 3-D printers, C-ARTS is revolutionizing the way Sailors train for duty. Having training so readily available allows Sailors to remain current on knowledge requirements with little to no gap between completing training and putting it to use aboard ship.
